WHAT IS A RESERVIST SOLDIER?

Reservist soldiers are part time soldiers, who serve with the Army in their free time. They're paid for the time they spend training, and are given the same opportunities as soldiers in the regular Army.

HOW DO I JOIN?

You'll need to be between 17 years 9 and months and 49 years 11 months to apply to join as a reservist soldier. You can find out whether you can join with our can I join quick check.

This should only take a few minutes. Once you're in the process, you'll have plenty of support from our team in choosing the right Army career for you.


You'll be introduced to your chosen unit, and have a chance to get to know them - and whether the Army Reserve is right for you. They'll then help you through the rest of the process and getting ready for your assessment course.
