Training For The Role
Step 1
You'll start with your initial military training which will teach you how to be a soldier - this will cover everything from fieldcraft to how to handle a rifle. Your training will be at Pirbright or Winchester and last for 14 weeks.
Step 2
You'll do your Phase 2 training at the Defence Intelligence Training Group near Bedford. You will do an initial 15 weeks course inthe foundations of technical intelligence analysis. On successful completion of this course you will attempt your Junior Command and Leadership course to promote to the rank of Lance Corporal.You will then receive additional training in analysis and/or cyber skills and/or an operational language. This training will take between 3 and 18 months. If you are going on to be a linguist, you will undertake a further 18 months of intensive language training.

- You will receive recognition in terms of pay and there is the potential that you will gain qualifications in cyber security
