Army Reserve soldier daily rates
  • Recruits (in initial training); £40.13 per day
  • Private: £51.22 per day
  • Lance Corporal: £68.61 per day
  • Corporal: £80.01 per day
  • Sergeant: £90.02 per day
Army Reserve officer daily rates:
  • Second Lieutenant: £83.95 per day
  • Lieutenant: £86.90 per day
  • Captain: £107.58 per day
  • Major: £135.52 per day

TAX FREE BONUS

If you meet your minimum training commitment (usually 19 or 27 days), and also pass your Military Training Tests (once a year), you'll get a tax free bonus payment on top of your pay.

This is based on your level of commitment, and varies from £470 in year 1 to £1,862 in year 5.
